Syncopus
Syncopus is a 2D music game in which the player controls a character named Synco. Synco's melodic world has been overtaken with syncopation, unruly entities that cause disruption in the melodies of the land.
Become Synco and let the instruments of the melody guide you as you follow the music to jump and skip to the right path and slay your enemies to restore melodic order.
Syncopus is made as part of the course “Making Games” at the ITU. I made this game together with six other students. and I was one of the three programmers on the team. Syncopus was originally made for Android and PC. This game is made in Unity, using C#.
Some of my responsibilities were:
Prototyping game concepts and gameplay mechanics
Implementing input for mobile
Implementing UI
Making mock-ups for the level chooser menu and pause menu.
Implementing Game Over logic: losing hearts when you make a mistake
